A Shambhala Archives' Photography Exhibit.
The Shambhala Archives is pleased to present a selection of some of the
25,000 photographs in our holdings. The current exhibit presents images
of one of the Shambhala Community's favorite summer traditions; the midsummers'
soltice celebration called Midsummer's Day. We have chosen photos from
the first four Midsummer's Day events that we think give a flavor of those
early festivals, and of the community at that time. For the most part,
the photos that follow were taken by photographers whose identities are
unknown to the Archives. If you recognize anything about these photos,
including their photographers, we would be happy to add it to the information
we have on them. Our last photo exhibit revealed a number of photographer's
identities, previously unknown. We are also glad to receive your suggestions
for future exhibit topics.
